    Lake Travis

    Residential Living

The beauty alone of the Lake Travis area makes it an exceptional place to reside. Add in excellent schools and welcoming communities, and it’s no wonder so many people call Lake Travis home.

The Lake Travis area has experienced steady socio-economic growth over the course of the past decade. Because of the positive climate, there is an abundance of available real estate throughout Travis County. Rough Hollow, Lakeway, Falconhead West, Vista at Lakeway, Alta Vista, Bella Montagna and West Cypress Hills are some of the most active subdivisions in the area; they are projected to grow by leaps and bounds between 2007 and 2016. With communities ranging from lakefront homes and condos to rural Hill Country properties, homes overlooking the fairway and small-town suburban neighborhoods, Lake Travis has an excellent variety of real estate. Better yet, property tax rates in the Lake Travis area have remained fairly flat over the course of the last three years.

When real estate is located in a desirable location such as the Lake Travis region, history has proven that real estate continues to appreciate over time. Favorable mortgage rates and demand for property fuel the economy, making homeownership in Lake Travis one of the best investments of the year…maybe even the best investment of a lifetime.

    BEE CAVE

    city hall

On November 14, 2006, the Bee Cave City Council approved an ordinance to rename the Village of Bee Cave to the City of Bee Cave. Soon after, the City broke ground on its new City Hall, located within the Hill Country Galleria.

The City of Bee Cave has experienced several changes in 2007. In the heart of the City, the Hill Country Galleria opened in late October and offers upscale retail, office, residential and restaurant space near the intersection of three major roads—Highway 71, RR 620 and FM 2244 (Bee Cave Road).

The new Bee Cave Public Library moved to the new City Hall in the new Hill Country Galleria, doubling in size from its previous location. Membership to the Library is free and open to all Texas residents.

    LAKEWAY

Situated in the beautiful hill country of Central Texas, Lakeway’s thriving economy and premium quality of life continue to draw people from all parts of the country to this unique city.

Originally established as a resort community in the 1960s, Lakeway has grown into a full-service city positioned on the south shore of Lake Travis. With a current population of approximately 14,000, Lakeway has grown significantly since the year 2000 when the U.S. Census reported a population of 8,000.

A thriving business community has developed in Lakeway along the Highway 620 corridor where attractive retail centers, office buildings and financial institutions offer their goods and services, and new residential communities in Lakeway have added thousands of high-quality homes to the area. With its recreational, business and residential opportunities, Lakeway has matured into a great location to live, work and play.

    SPICEWOOD

The town of Spicewood was named for the abundance of native timber in the area. Encompassing over 6,400 residents, it is a favorite recreational destination for fans of sports, fishing and hunting. Also known for its spring-fed creeks, the jewel of Spicewood is Krause Springs. Crystal water gushes from its main spring, cascades down a limestone cliff and splashes into a pool on the Little Cypress Creek.
